Server crash via empty MMS data list

NULL pointer dereference in libIEC61850 1.0.0 through 1.6.1 allows remote attackers to crash MMS servers via a crafted WriteRequest. The MMS Write Named Variable List handler processes an empty listOfData without verifying that a data element exists, leading to a NULL dereference. Reachability requires network access to the MMS service; no authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is server process termination.
