CVE-2026-50021Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Altered package installation via missing-integrity fail-open

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026

Integrity-check bypass in pnpm before 10.34.0 and 11.0.0 through 11.3.x allows attackers to install altered packages. The addTarballToStore function treats an absent integrity value as false, skips hash verification, and stores a newly calculated hash for unverified content. Exploitation requires control of both pnpm-lock.yaml and the referenced registry response; the resulting package content is accepted without an integrity error.
