Arbitrary file write via unrestricted database attachment
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Arbitrary file write in Anyquery before 0.4.5 allows remote attackers to create or overwrite server-writable files through its MySQL-compatible port. In server mode, the MySQL handler forwards unauthenticated ATTACH DATABASE statements to SQLite, which creates a database at the supplied path. The path must be writable by the server process; code execution additionally requires a privileged target or another service that interprets the resulting file.
