Local file disclosure via unscanned attached outputs
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Information disclosure in Repomix before 1.14.1 allows local users with MCP tool access to read supported local files. The attach_packed_output tool accepts .json, .txt, .md, and .xml paths based on extension, registers each path under an output ID, and read_repomix_output returns the content without runSecretLint(). Exploitation requires MCP tool-call capability against a server with local filesystem access and exposes file contents without writing files or executing commands.
