Authenticated file disclosure via backslash traversal bypass
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Path traversal in Kestra before 1.0.45 and 1.1.0 through 1.3.22 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. LocalStorage checks the raw URI path for parent traversal before converting Windows-style backslashes into forward slashes, so a backslash sequence becomes valid parent traversal only after the guard. Exploitation requires permission to view an execution and an execution with stored output, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the Kestra process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
