CVE-2026-49979Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Admin-only internal service enumeration via unvalidated SMTP host

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

SSRF in Appsmith before 1.99 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to enumerate internal services through SMTP settings. The send-test-email handler passes attacker-controlled smtpHost and smtpPort values to a raw JavaMail TCP connection without the WebClient IP filter and returns MailException text verbatim. Administrator privileges are required; the returned errors distinguish closed ports from reachable services and can expose service banners.
