CVE-2026-49883

Local device-state disclosure via missing permission check

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Information disclosure in Google Wear OS 14, 16, and 17 allows local users to monitor sensitive device state data. PermissionsManager.java's checkReadPermission method permits access without enforcing the required read permission, exposing device-state observations to an unprivileged caller. Exploitation needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction; the disclosure is limited to otherwise protected device-state information.
