Remote code execution via integer-overflow buffer write
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Google Android 14, 15, 16, 16-qpr2, and 17 allows remote attackers to execute code without user interaction. The NFC Type 3 Tag functions rw_t3t_send_next_ndef_check_cmd and rw_t3t_send_next_ndef_update_cmd perform overflowing integer arithmetic that permits writes beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires reaching the NFC processing path but needs no existing execution privileges, and successful corruption compromises the affected process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
