CVE-2026-49858Network attack vector

Cross-user attribute disclosure via unsafe component caching

Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026

Information disclosure in API Platform Core allows remote attackers to read protected resource attributes through JSON:API or HAL responses. The JSON:API and HAL ItemNormalizer components unconditionally reuse componentsCache entries keyed by a request cache key without first applying isCacheKeySafe, so a structure computed for one user can cross authorization boundaries. Exposure requires a user-dependent ApiProperty security predicate, a higher-access request before a lower-access request, and a long-running PHP worker that preserves the normalizer between requests.
