Phishing via unsafe backslash path normalization
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Open redirect in Probo before 0.204.0 allows remote attackers to send users to external domains through crafted authentication-flow URLs. The saferedirect Validate function checks only the second raw path character, while Go's http.Redirect normalization converts an accepted backslash path into a browser-interpreted host separator. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted trusted-domain URL; the navigation supports phishing without altering Probo data or availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
