Stored script execution via unencoded quiz questions
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Online Quiz System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through crafted quiz questions. The endpoint copies quiz_question from POST into the database, and quiz.php and take-quiz.php render the stored value without HTML encoding. Teacher-level access is required; the script then runs in any student or teacher browser that displays the affected quiz, enabling actions in that user's session.
