CVE-2026-4971Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Note deletion via tokenless GET request

Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in SourceCodester Note Taking App 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete an authenticated user's notes. The notes/delete.php endpoint accepts the note id in a state-changing GET request and deletes the matching user-owned note without validating a CSRF token. A victim must remain logged in and visit an attacker-controlled page, which causes the browser to send the request with the victim's session cookie.
