OS command injection in Markdown Preview Enhanced before 0.8.28 allows attackers to execute commands through a crafted markdown preview. The preview passes diagram filenames, imported file paths, and latex_engine values through a shell without validating them as literal arguments. Exploitation requires a Windows user to preview the crafted document, after which commands run with that user's VS Code privileges.
