Mass subtitle overwrite via wildcard LIKE comparison
Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026
SQL wildcard injection in ClipBucket V5 before 5.5.3 - #141 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite subtitle titles. The update_subtitle() method places the POST number value in a LIKE comparison after mysql_clean(), which preserves % and _ wildcards. A default registered account with edit_video permission and an owned video is enough to rewrite every matching subtitle title, without affecting other videos.
