Uncontrolled resource consumption in Soup Sieve before 2.8.4 allows attackers to exhaust process memory via crafted CSS selectors. The parser creates and retains a full CSSSelector object graph for every comma-delimited item without limiting the selector count. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled selectors to soupsieve.compile(), .select(), or .select_one(), causing memory exhaustion, process termination, or service interruption.
