Unauthenticated management-route access via Host spoofing
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Authentication bypass in BerriAI LiteLLM before 1.84.0 allows remote attackers to access protected management routes via a crafted Host header. The get_request_route function uses request.url.path, which Starlette reconstructs from Host, so authentication checks a different path than FastAPI dispatches. Only self-hosted proxies reached without upstream Host validation are exposed; LiteLLM Cloud and normalized deployments block the bypass.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
