CVE-2026-49456Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Open redirect via unvalidated Location header

Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026

Open redirect in Waku before 1.0.0-beta.1 allows remote attackers to send victims to external domains via crafted links. The unstable_redirect helper passes its location argument through an error digest and writes it unchanged to the HTTP Location header without URL, scheme, or path validation. Exploitation requires an application route to pass user-controlled input and a victim to follow the crafted link, enabling phishing, credential harvesting, or OAuth token theft.
