Session hijacking via stored javascript URI
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Stored XSS in Kovah LinkAce before 2.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in victims' browsers via saved URLs. The rules() method in app/Http/Requests/Models/Api/BulkStoreLinksRequest.php marks models.*.url only as required, so the bulk API stores javascript: URIs that resources/views/models/links/partials/show/link-details.blade.php later emits verbatim in href attributes. Any user who can create links and obtain an API token can plant the payload, and exploitation requires a victim to click the rendered link; the published impact is cookie theft and actions under the victim session.
