CVE-2026-49432Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via negative STOMP length

Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026

Improper input validation in Apache ActiveMQ before 5.19.8 and 6.0.0 through 6.2.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via STOMP. The STOMP frame parser accepts a negative content-length, letting NIO command buffers grow beyond configured limits as body bytes continue arriving. An exposed STOMP connector is required; NIO can exhaust broker memory, while blocking transport closes the affected connection through abnormal exception handling.
