Authenticated credential disclosure through thread names
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Credential exposure in JetBrains TeamCity before 2026.1 allows remote authenticated users to read credentials from thread names. JetBrains states only that credentials appear in thread names and has not disclosed which code path constructs those names or which input supplies the secret. Low-privileged authenticated TeamCity access is required, and the reported consequence is credential disclosure without data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
