Unauthenticated HTML disclosure via raw cache paths
Published Jun 19, 2026 · Updated Jun 19, 2026
Path traversal in YARD before 0.9.44 allows remote attackers to read sibling HTML files through a reachable documentation server. StaticCaching#check_static_cache joins the raw request path to adapter.document_root and returns a regular file before Router#final_options cleans parent-directory components. Exploitation requires --docroot or DocumentRoot, a reachable server, and a readable off-root file ending in .html; it provides no write or execution path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
