Stored XSS via unescaped taxonomy term names
Published May 21, 2026 · Updated May 21, 2026
Stored XSS in Drupal Simple Hierarchical Select 7.x-1.0 through 7.x-1.10 allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts. shs_field_formatter_view emits term names without escaping in unlinked formatter output, while shs_term_get_children returns raw term names to SHS widget data. Administrative taxonomy-term permissions and a victim viewing affected output are required; scripts run in that viewer's site context.
