CVE-2026-49269Public exploit

Cross-process secret disclosure via stale GPU registers

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

Information disclosure in Apple M1 GPUs allows local users to read cross-process secrets through stale Metal shader register state. The GPU register file is not cleared between compute shader dispatches from different processes, so a reader shader receives residual victim values. Exploitation requires local execution of a sandboxed Metal app on legacy M1 hardware, and the demonstrated consequence is cross-sandbox confidentiality loss only.
