CVE-2026-49255Network attack vector

Command execution via unescaped file paths

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Command injection in electerm before 3.11.11 allows remote attackers to execute commands via crafted SSH or SFTP filenames. Functions rmrf(), mv(), and cp() in src/app/lib/fs.js interpolate untrusted paths into shell command strings without neutralizing quotes or metacharacters. Exploitation requires a victim to connect to a malicious server and trigger a file operation, after which commands run with the desktop user's privileges.
