CVE-2026-49241Network attack vector

Remote code execution via untrusted TypeScript SDK path

Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026

Code injection in Angular Language Service before 21.2.4 allows remote attackers to execute code when a developer opens a crafted workspace. The extension reads typescript.tsdk or js/ts.tsdk.path from .vscode/settings.json without a Workspace Trust check, then the server requires tsserverlibrary.js from that attacker-controlled directory. Exploitation requires the extension to be installed and active and a developer to open the malicious folder; the loaded script runs with the developer's local privileges.
