Cross-site scripting via unvalidated child tag
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Symfony UX Live Component allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML during a component re-render. ChildComponentPartialRenderer::createHtml() inserts the client-controlled children[id].tag value as an HTML tag name without escaping or validation. Exploitation requires a re-render containing a child component and either permissive CORS or an existing same-origin script-execution path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 2.8.0, < 2.36.0
