Low-privilege MQTT traffic disclosure via wildcard subscriptions
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Improper access control in Predator Connect W6x firmware W6x_GBL_2.00.000005 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read all MQTT traffic. Its MQTT broker ACL accepts wildcard topic subscriptions from low-privileged clients instead of limiting message visibility to authorized topics. Network access and valid low-privilege broker credentials are required; exploitation discloses broker messages without altering them or interrupting service.
