Telemetry disclosure via public S3 bucket policies
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Information exposure in Acer Connect M6E 5G Mobile WiFi through M6E_AI_1.00.000019 allows remote attackers to read active telemetry. AWS S3 telemetry buckets use policies that permit unauthenticated public reads instead of restricting objects to authorized principals. Internet access alone is sufficient; Acer reports disclosure of telemetry but no ability to modify device data or interrupt service.
