Local privilege escalation via exported Broadcast Receiver
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Improper privilege management in Acer Connect M6E firmware M6E_AI_1.00.000019 and earlier allows local users to invoke administrative operations. A core Android Broadcast Receiver is publicly exported without a signature-level permission, so untrusted local components can deliver privileged intents. A low-privileged local software component is sufficient to reach the receiver and gain the data-access, modification, and service effects of its administrative actions.
