CVE-2026-49088Network attack vector

Request-header disclosure via unredacted APM logging

Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026

Sensitive-data logging in Elastic Kibana allows attackers with log access to read request headers when APM instrumentation is enabled. The APM instrumentation records sensitive inbound request header values, including Cookie values, without redaction before Kibana writes its application logs. Exposure requires the optional instrumentation to be explicitly enabled and is limited to confidentiality for values present in accessible logs.
