Authenticated memory corruption via unbounded sprintf
Published Mar 26, 2026 · Updated Mar 26, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC5 15.03.06.47 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted POST request. The formSetCfm handler passes attacker-controlled funcpara1 to save_list_data, where sprintf writes it plus a suffix into the fixed 64-byte stack array v10 without a length bound. Low-privileged network access is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates the overflow trigger but does not demonstrate code execution.
