Credential disclosure via unencrypted firmware storage
Published Aug 7, 2026 · Updated Aug 7, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in ZTE ZXHN F689 firmware allow remote attackers to obtain the web interface's initial login credentials. The device firmware stores those initial credentials as unencrypted information that can be read without authentication. Network reachability and no privileges or user interaction are required, and the disclosed credentials enable access to the device's web interface.
