Root escalation via PostgreSQL COPY FROM PROGRAM
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Command injection in Nubia Technology REDMAGIC 11 Air build GEN_CN_NX799JV1.0.0B15 allows local users to gain root access. The root-run PostgreSQL service accepts weak credentials and passes attacker-supplied COPY FROM PROGRAM commands to the operating system. Low-privilege physical access is required, after which command execution escapes Android's permission sandbox with root authority.
