Race condition in mcdope pam_usb before 0.9.2 allows local users to disrupt authentication or reuse pad data via concurrent updates. The pad update path creates its temporary file with open() but omits O_EXCL, so simultaneous processes can open the same path and one write can silently overwrite the other. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and precise concurrent timing; consequences are failed authentication or a narrow pad-reuse window.
