Unauthorized post metadata changes via unchecked AJAX toggle
Published May 27, 2026 · Updated May 27, 2026
Missing authorization in Benbodhi SVG Support 2.5.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter post display metadata. The inline featured image AJAX action updates the targeted post's inline_featured_image metadata without checking whether the requester can edit that post. A low-privilege WordPress account is required, and the resulting integrity impact is limited to whether the post's SVG featured image renders inline.
