Authenticated XSS via unescaped file-management output
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS 4.0.0 through 5.4.6 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The com_templates file-management view renders output without the escaping required for its HTML context; Joomla has not identified the affected value. Exploitation requires high-privilege access and passive user interaction, and the resulting code executes in the affected browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
