Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Stored XSS in JoomlaWorks K2 1.0 through 2.26 allows remote authenticated users to run script in article visitors' browsers. K2 stores a raw script tag from the embedVideo POST field and renders the stored value without escaping on the article page. Exploitation requires K2 create-item rights, assigned to Authors by default, and a visitor must open the crafted article for the script to execute.
