Browser data disclosure via Markdown parsing-error XSS
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Apache JSPWiki 2.12.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read browser-session data via a crafted editing request. Apache identifies Markdown parsing-error processing as the locus but has not published the responsible function or exact error-output operation. A victim must render the affected error response in a browser, and the published impact is limited to information exposed through that session.
