CVE-2026-48905Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Cross-site scripting via accepted HTML data URIs

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Joomla Filter Package 1.0.0 through 3.0.5 and 4.0.0 through 4.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to run script. InputFilter::cleanAttributes accepts an HTML data URI in an href attribute and preserves the attacker-controlled URI in sanitized output. A privileged remote user must supply crafted HTML and another user must interact with the resulting link, limiting the consequence to browser-side script execution.
