Heap buffer over-read in GIMP on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9 allows remote attackers to disclose memory or crash GIMP via a crafted PCX file. The PCX loader's bytesperline validation contains an off-by-one error that permits processing to read beyond the allocated heap buffer. Exploitation requires GIMP to be installed and a user to open an untrusted PCX image; reported effects are limited to memory disclosure and an application crash.
