CVE-2026-48858Network attack vector

SSRF via unvalidated PASV response address

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

SSRF in affected Erlang/OTP ftp releases allows remote attackers controlling an FTP server to redirect passive data connections. The ftp_internal PASV handler parses the address in a server's 227 response and passes it directly to gen_tcp:connect/4 without matching the control peer. The vulnerable defaults select PASV; redirected reads disclose target data, while redirected sends write file content to internal or third-party services.
