CVE-2026-48856Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Credential theft via cross-origin redirect header forwarding

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

Sensitive-data exposure in Erlang/OTP inets allows remote attackers to steal HTTP credentials through cross-origin redirects. httpc_response:redirect/2 replaces only the host field when constructing a redirected request, copying Authorization and Proxy-Authorization headers without comparing origins. Exploitation requires an httpc caller to contact an attacker-controlled server while automatic redirects are enabled, which is the default.
