CSS injection via unsanitized SVG animation values
Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026
CSS injection in Roundcube Webmail 1.6.0 through 1.6.15 and 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to alter webmail content via crafted SVG. The rcube_washtml.php wash_attribs sanitizer accepts an SVG animate element whose attributeName is style without passing its values attribute through wash_style. No Roundcube account is required; rendering the crafted SVG applies attacker-controlled CSS that can alter displayed content or trigger a browser request.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
