CVE-2026-48847Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Pre-auth file deletion via poisoned sessions

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Arbitrary file deletion in Roundcube Webmail 1.6.0 through 1.6.15 and 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to delete server files before authentication. Poisoned Redis or Memcache session data restores handler objects with attacker-selected temporary-file paths, whose destructors call unlink(). Exposure requires nondefault Redis or Memcache session storage, and deletion is limited to files writable by the web-server account.
