CVE-2026-48844Network attack vector

Authenticated PHP code execution via LDAP autovalues

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Code injection in Roundcube Webmail 1.6.0 through 1.6.15 and 1.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code via LDAP autovalues. The rcube_ldap::add_autovalues method treats any autovalue template containing an opening parenthesis as PHP, substitutes LDAP attribute values with addslashes(), and passes the resulting expression to eval(). Reachability requires authenticated access and an LDAP address book configured with an evaluable autovalues template; injected PHP runs with the webmail process's privileges.
