Stored XSS via unescaped email log content
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Stored XSS in WPExperts Post SMTP 3.6.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser through crafted email content. Post SMTP records attacker-controlled email content and displays it without sufficient escaping in its email log. Exploitation requires the crafted content to be logged and an administrator to view it; script then runs in that WordPress session.
