Authorization bypass via unsafe endpoint attribute dispatch
Published Jun 17, 2026 · Updated Jun 17, 2026
Unsafe reflection in Kludex Starlette before 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to invoke unintended endpoint methods via crafted HTTP methods. HTTPEndpoint lowercases the client-supplied method and passes it to getattr without restricting lookup to supported HTTP verbs. Exploitation requires a Route without methods= and a matching single-request-argument helper, enabling execution outside the intended handler's authorization checks.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
