CVE-2026-48813Network attack vector

Report manipulation via unescaped scan input

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Output injection in David A. Wheeler Flawfinder before 2.0.20 allows remote attackers to corrupt reports via crafted scan input. Terminal output writes filenames containing ANSI escapes without neutralization, while CSV and output_sonar() serialize untrusted fields without format-specific escaping. Flawfinder must scan attacker-controlled filenames or source content, enabling hidden findings, corrupted CSV output, or injected SonarQube XML attributes.
