Unauthenticated training control via ignored authentication variable
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Authentication bypass in MCP Tool Shop Backpropagate 1.1.0 through 1.1.1 allows remote attackers to control the Reflex web UI. The CLI exports BACKPROPAGATE_UI_AUTH and reports authentication as enabled, but the Reflex backend never reads the variable or registers HTTP or WebSocket guards. Exposure is host-local by default or network-reachable with --share; any client reaching the port can read datasets, start training, push models, and fill disk.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
