CVE-2026-48793Network attack vectorHinoki check available

File write and disclosure via subtitle argument injection

Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026

Argument injection in Jellyfin before 10.11.10 allows attackers to write files and disclose server data through subtitle conversion. SubtitleEncoder.ConvertTextSubtitleToSrtInternal inserts the subtitle path into FFmpeg arguments without NormalizePath, so Linux double quotes escape argument boundaries. Exploitation requires attackers to place a crafted subtitle filename in a media library, but the conversion request itself requires no authentication.
